We begin this treatment by shaping the nail to enhance the look of your hands. Cuticles then receive gentle, expert attention. Next enjoy a reflexology forearm and hand massage. Your hands are then placed in heated mitts to encourage circulation and maximize hydration. Nails are polished to perfection or buffed to a natural healthy shine

THE PEDICURE
Begin with a customized essential oil footbath followed by proper nail trimming and gentle, expert cuticle grooming. Say goodbye to stress while enjoying a reflexology massage of the lower leg and foot. Relax and breathe deeper when feet are gently placed in heated booties to relieve muscle tension and encourage maximum hydration. Nails are polished to perfection or buffed to a healthy, natural shine.

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a gentle yet effective therapy based on a unique massage technique dating back to ancient Egyptian times that is designed to encourage balance, whole body wellness and peace. Following a customized essential oil foot cleanse, your feet will receive this detailed personalized treatment to relax and rejuvenate body and mind.

Karri Patton, founder and sole operator, created Studio Karri L in 2000 to offer relaxing and long lasting treatments using only all natural products personalized for eco and health conscience individuals.

In addition to working one on one with her clients, Karri has styled nails for commercial and print work and provided personalized on site treatments for special occasions. As a leader in her industry, she offers advanced training for some of Seattle’s top rated spas and salons, has worked as the Director of Education for an emerging nail spa, and placed 2nd in the 2008 Best of Western Washington contest for the best manicures and pedicures.

Karri’s mission is to raise the standards in the beauty industry by bringing more awareness to the benefits of natural nail care. Karri is passionate about educating her clients and the public on how to properly care for their hands and feet, as well as provide information about the potentially harmful and toxic ingredients in many beauty products we use every day. Karri regularly invests her personal time and resources by participating in industry classes and spa exhibitions every year.

Patton, founder and sole operator of Studio Karri L, a boutique nail spa located in the heart of Madison Park, practices her art without chemical additives or harsh smells associated with most nail salons.

Patton, who created her studio in 2000, describes herself as Seattle's only natural, sustainable nail care expert, which is also a find for eco- and health conscious consumers.

"When clients ask what I mean by natural nails, my answer is that in addition to using "three free" polish (toluene, formaldehyde, and DBP, the three worst ingredients in nail polish), my flooring is made from partly recycled rubber, the paint is low VOC, and all the lotions I use are free from parabens and synthetic fragrances."

Entering the soothing elegance of the warmly lit, intimate spa-like space, with a stylish blend of earth and ocean tones, will instantly dissolve even the most frazzled of nerves. Describing the décor as a reflection of her personal style, Patton says it's meant to induce relaxation.

"I'm always seeking Zen, and I want everything to be very nurturing and calming."
